Hands-on: MB&F HM6 Alien Nation.

Charris Yadigaroglou, Head of Communications for MB&F was in Singapore recently. A meeting over lunch was hosted by luxury watch retailer, The Hour Glass. We were delighted to have the opportunity to see the HM6 - Press release here HM6 Alien Nation. Following are some highlights I would like to share with you guys.

HM6 all charged up by luminous material (AGT Ultra) and Super Luminova.

Details of the movement.

That's how the mini handcrafted aliens in solid white gold are made.

More pics and close up shots of the watch.

The inspiration of the first HM6 in 2014 was from a Japanese anime TV series. This latest HM6 Alien Nation features 6 little aliens, with the captain seating in front driving the ship. The two domes in front show the time while the other two spinning turbines are driven by the winding rotor. Winding and setting of the time are done by the crown on the right. The crown on the left is for opening and closing of the protective shield for the tourbillon.

The case is made from sapphire crystals- 10 domed sapphire crystals held together with a central case band. A retractable titanium cover shields the flying tourbillon. All four pieces of this very limited edition were spoken for!

The articulated lugs make the watch wearable even at dimensions of 51mm x 50mm x 22.7mm

It's not hard to be captivated by the little "aliens" inside.

Can you spot them?

It's such a beautiful watch to look at because almost every moving part is visible!
