Event Report: Newly Designed Rolex Boutique Opened In Singapore.


Rolex and Cortina Watch opened a huge boutique at Marina Square earlier this month. With a retail space of around 513 square metres, it is the largest Rolex boutique in South East Asia. More than 300 guests and journalists were invited to celebrate this special occasion.

The Hour Glass hosted an intimate afternoon tea session to celebrate the launch of the Ladies’ Big Bang One Click collection at Tea Bone Zen Mind on 3rd September 2016.


  

30 lucky ladies were treated to a personal shopping experience, where they got to try on a variety of Hublot Big Bang One Click watches, customized with their numerous options of strap accompaniments. Guests also got to indulge in custom blended teas and complementary snacks, bringing to life Hublot’s classic Art of Fusion in expertly combining all sensory appeal into one delectable experience.

Big Bang One Click 39 mm

The now iconic Big Bang 39 mm – designed for women with a stone-set bezel and no chronograph – elegantly adopts the design codes of its male alter ego, the Big Bang Unico launched in 2013. The screws, crown, indices and numerals have all been restyled. Tauter lines, giving a more resolute character. As a testament to its versatility, it is paired with the One Click strap - the patented attachment system which allows the strap to be changed quickly and easily. The Big Bang One Click 39 mm has now added interchangeability to its bounty.


Eight different faces for an infinite choice of styles. Its 39 mm case is available in Hublot gold – King Gold – or steel. To match the stone-set bezel, the pavé version of the case is also set with diamonds. For the classical version, a black or white dial, or orange, rose, purple, apple green in its Pop Art version, is adorned with appliqués and numerals which are illuminated by their Super Luminova® coating. Another new feature is the addition of the HUB1710 automatic manufacture movement with the date at 3 o'clock. For this initial release, the Big Bang One Click sports a lined and structured natural rubber strap, in a colour to match its dial, while the Big Bang Pop Art One Click sports a choice of 3 various straps.

Press Release IWC : The Formular One™ Singapore GP Gears Up With Appearances Of Lewis Hamilton And Nico Rosberg

At the invitation of IWC Schaffhausen, Mercedes-Benz and HUGO BOSS, MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ drivers and official IWC Schaffhausen brand ambassadors, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, will make public appearances in Singapore in the week leading up to the Formula One™ Singapore Grand Prix 2016 in September 2016 at Marina Bay Sands and ION Orchard respectively.

From 10 September 2016 onwards, leading up to the Singapore Grand Prix weekend, there will be a special F1 racing simulator set up at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, where members of the public are invited to challenge the race lap time set by the 2016 Formula One™ champion Lewis Hamilton.
Lewis Hamilton will make an exclusive appearance at Marina Bay Sands on 14 September 2016, where he will set his race lap time, and also meet members of the public in a Q&A session.


The F1 racing simulator will be located next to the IWC Schaffhausen boutique on B1 level of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, and will be open to the public from 10am to 10pm daily. The challenge will conclude on 18 September 2016, with the last lap time entry recorded at 6pm. The winning race lap time will win exclusive F1 merchandise signed by Lewis Hamilton.

Joining Lewis Hamilton and the racing simulator will be the Mercedes-AMG GT on display on Level 1, guaranteed to raise excitement on the ground with its masculine design and unbridled power. There will also be a showcase by HUGO BOSS which will highlight the brand’s signature tailoring and its long-standing support for Formula One.

In tandem, also commencing on 10 September 2016, there will be a full scale replica of the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team garage at the Atrium of ION Orchard. This unique showcase of engineering excellence will be the first of its kind, and will allow members of the public to experience what goes behind the scenes of the racing team and get up-close with the dynamic Mercedes-AMG GT S, which is also the Official Safety Car of the 2016 FIA Formula One™ World Championship from 10 to 18 September 2016, from 10am to 10pm daily.

Nico Rosberg will make an exclusive public appearance at this garage showcase on 15 September 2016, where he will engage in a public Q&A session. The public will also be invited to participate in an on-site contest, to guess Nico Rosberg’s race day fastest lap time. Entries must be submitted on-site at the garage showcase before 10pm on Saturday, 17 September 2016.

IWC Schaffhausen is the Official Engineering Partner of the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team, a partnership that has been in place since 2013. In the same year, MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, embarked on their official appointments as IWC brand ambassadors, further cementing the partnership between the luxury watch manufacturer and the racing team.

Event Report: Omega launched the Planet Ocean "Deep Black".

Two weeks ago, Omega held an exhibition to launch the Planet Ocean “Deep Black” collection at ION Orchard. The exhibition was held at ION Art, an exhibition space in the shopping mall. Omega invited members of the media, customers and collectors to this special exhibition held over two days. I was present at the luncheon and would like to share with you the highlights.
