Hands-On: Glashutte Original Sixties Iconic Square Collection.

Like the other Senator Sixties collection, this series was inspired by their Spezimatic models produced in the 1960s. The Sixties Iconic Square comes in five colours and only 25 pieces will be available at their boutique. Priced at SGD15,000

At the time of photography, two of the models were already sold. The three models above are the green (Sixties Iconic Forest), deep blue (Sixties Iconic Ocean), red (Sixties Iconic Fire).

The dial is galvanised with a base coat and layers of coloured lacquer are then added by hand. The lacquered dials are then fired in an oven to burn in the colours

The watch has a nice wrist presence. The lacquer work and sun-ray finish on the dial catches the light beautifully! It is fitted with a nice Louisiana Alligator leather strap.

The stainless steel square cushion case measures 41.35 x 41.35mm and is highly polished. The profile of the case complements the domed crystal perfectly and the two pushers on the side are also easy to operate.

Powered by automatic Cal 39-34, the Iconic Square along with the other time-only Sixties collection offer a lot of quality for the price.
