Hands-on With Longines Timepieces.

The Longines Avigation Type A7 1935

The Longines Avigation Type A7 1935 is a beautiful remake from one of the watches from the 1930s. This is a scaled down version of another reissue that Longines did in 2012.  This piece has a more wearable case size of 41mm. The vintage lume markers and the blue hands contrast pretty well against the white lacquer dial. The unique skewed case allows the pilot to read the time and also to activate the monopusher easily. The type A7 uses a modified ETA movement.

Another piece from the Heritage collection is this simple time only Heritage 1918. I would prefer they move the subdial a little lower, do away with the date window and leave the "6" untouched!

The Heritage 1969 is another piece that is very close to an original model. For this reissue, Longines opted for a steel case instead of gold.

The 36mm cushion-shaped case sits really great on the wrist. With gold hands and indexes, it will also look just as lovely on a brown leather strap.

The Longines Railroad again draws inspiration from its past heritage. Their watches were worn by many railroad employees during the 60s.

It is now in a bigger 40mm case. The original version is around 35mm. I am glad they made this close to the original piece. Yes, without the superfluous date!

Following are some watches for ladies....
