A couple of
weeks ago, Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Omega dedicated an exhibition showcasing
many exquisite ladies’ watches from the 1920s. “A Century of Fine Ladies’
Timepieces” provided guests with an opportunity to get up-close and personal
with vintage timepieces from the Omega Museum. Museum manager Petros Protopapas
was present to share his knowledge on these watches. Guests were also treated
to a sumptuous dinner after the event. Following are some
highlights for your viewing pleasure.
Below are the highlights of some of the more interesting vintage Omega watches on display....
1964 : Omega Moldavita, a fine creation with Gilbert Albert. This platinum necklace features a detachable
pendent with a 7.5 gr. Bohemia meteorite. This jewel conceals a pivoting ladies’
watch (cal Ladymatic 660)
1984: A prototype of the Omega Inca Jewellery set and
wristwatch in 18k gold. It features a Guilloche gold
dial with brilliant-cut diamonds.
