“We couldn’t be happier to be back in Monaco for the most exciting race on the calendar, honoring our historic ties with the Principality and supporting our partner since 2016, the Oracle Red Bull Racing Team, as they take on the challenging city circuit. Monaco is a special place for TAG Heuer, the inspiration behind our most emblematic chronograph, and a track where we have lived through some of the most thrilling racing moments over the decades, in Formula 1 of course, but also Formula E or the Historic Grand Prix. Once again, we are proud to gather our closest friends and partners for an unforgettable weekend around our shared passion for motorsport.” says TAG Heuer CEO Frédéric Arnault.

Earlier today, Oracle Red Bull Racing driver and reigning F1 World Champion Max Verstappen was presented with a newly released and exclusively personalized TAG Heuer Monaco chronograph. The custom piece sports special red “1” markings on the dial and case back, as a nod to his #1 racing number for 2022 which he chose after his championship victory last season. Symbolically the sapphire crystal case back also features an engraving of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit where he was victorious in 2021, with a bespoke TAG Heuer Monaco on the wrist already. This timepiece will hopefully be a new good-luck token for Max ahead of Sunday’s race.

Just before midnight, the brand took to the skies to illuminate the Monaco night with a show of drones forming signature TAG Heuer timepieces such as the square-shaped TAG Heuer Monaco or outlines of the Principality’s winding F1 track. And on display for all to admire onboard the TAG Heuer ship was the weekend’s coveted trophy, housed in a custom hand-crafted trunk by Louis Vuitton, official Trophy Travel Case provider for the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco. With this memorable evening TAG Heuer once again reaffirms its deep friendship with the Principality of Monaco and honors its historic ties to motor racing. The brand was delighted to share the occasion with so many close friends and partners and keep fueling the unrivaled spirit that year after year sets the F1 Monaco Grand Prix apart.
