Singapore - August 2016 - CASIO top management, key media guests and VIPs came together at a glamourous launch celebration to honour two decades of G-SHOCK MR-G, the most premium line within the G-SHOCK family. Held in conjunction with Cortina Watch at the Luxe Art Museum, guests also witnessed the unveiling of the limited edition G-SHOCK MRG-G1000HT timepiece.

Specially gracing the event were Mr Shigenori Itoh, Senior Executive Managing Officer and Senior General Manager of Global Marketing, Mr Kikuo Ibe, Research and Development Chief Engineer and the Creator of G-SHOCK, Mr Shunichi Watanabe, Managing Director of CASIO Singapore, and Mr Jeremy Lim, Chief Operating Officer of Cortina Watch. Media personalities and G-SHOCK aficionados such as Shigga Shay,Chua Enlai, Anita Kapoor and Eden Ang graced the event along with fashion influencer Melissa Koh and renowned MMA fighter Bruno Pucci.

Sharing his vision for G-SHOCK globally, Mr Shigenori Itoh spoke about why the MR-G line has been such a significant line within the G-SHOCK family. Mr Kikuo Ibe was on hand to share valuable insight into the making of the 20th Anniversary G-SHOCK MRG-G1000HT, as well as his journey in the creation of G-SHOCK timepieces.
Guests were also treated to a heritage showcase of past G-SHOCK MR-G models as well as the iconic G-SHOCK hammer shock test. Synonymous with hardy and shock resistant watches, the hammer shock test showcased the durabulity and toughness of G-SHOCK MR-G timepieces. Following this, the lights were turned down to make way for an impactful 3D visual shadowgraph performance, accompanied by a Samurai dance and arresting projection mapping graphics.
